The Shar-Pei is a medium-sized dog breed that originated in China. It is known for its wrinkled face and distinctive blue-black tongue. The Shar-Pei has a loyal and devoted personality, making it an ideal companion for many families.

Appearance: The Shar-Pei has a unique appearance with its wrinkled face, short coat, and distinctive blue-black tongue. Its head is broad and flat with small ears that are set high on the head. Its eyes are almond shaped and dark brown in color. The body of the Shar-Pei is muscular with a deep chest and strong legs.

Lifespan, Size, Weight & Colors: The average lifespan of the Shar-Pei is 10 to 12 years. It stands at 18 to 20 inches tall at the shoulder and weighs between 40 to 55 pounds when fully grown. The coat of the Shar-Pei comes in various colors including black, cream, fawn, red, sable or brindle with white markings on the chest or feet being common as well.
