In Yorkshire, England, Ikiru lives with his parents, Rich and Emma, an exotic shorthair boy cat. His parents have shared photos of him on social media, which have made him an Internet sensation.

With his unique face and hanging tongue, he's taking over the Internet. It seems like many people incorrectly think that he has a mental illness because of some of the strange faces he makes.

Rich and Emma said they were instantly smitten with Ikiru after seeing the cute photos he had on a cat breeder's website. The couple decided to adopt him that very day. Afterwards, they started an Instagram account so that the world could follow his daily life.

It is a good grumpy feeling when he is loving, affectionate, and grumpy all at the same time. His playful nature is hilarious as well. It's one of his quirks that he likes to tunnel under things, like blankets or sheets of paper, or look at you upside down from a corner."

The name 'Ikiru' is taken from a Kurosawa film, and the word 'live' in Japanese means 'to live'. When he's upside down he loves to cause mischief.

Emma and Rich never imagined that their cat would be so famous. People send us messages all over the world saying that his cuteness, silly faces, and personality make their day.
